Why information is processed
Your details are processed to check vehicle availability, prepare your car-rental quote, reply to you, manage your reservation and support the rental handover. Limited technical data is processed for security, abuse prevention and reliable delivery of the request.
Who may receive it
Information is not sold and is not used for promotional emails. ChaniaRental.gr uses it only to prepare and manage your quote, reservation and rental communication. Email and hosting services may process limited data on our behalf only to operate the website and deliver messages.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics is enabled only after you choose “Accept cookies”. Analytics is used to measure visits, traffic sources and successful quote submissions. The Analytics event contains a random quote reference and page/source information, but it does not contain your name, email address, telephone number or message. You may decline Analytics or change the choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Technical and attribution information
The website may record the page used to submit the request, landing page, referral source, campaign information and IP address. To show an approximate city and country in the internal quote email, the quote handler may send the visitor IP address to the IPWhois geolocation service. Location data is approximate and may be inaccurate. These technical details help prevent spam and identify which website pages and traffic sources generate requests.
Retention
Quote emails and related correspondence are normally retained for up to 12 months so the request can be answered, followed up and documented. Information may be retained longer when required for a legal obligation or an active dispute, and may be removed sooner when it is no longer needed.
