Practical guide

Choose by trip type

Couple with light luggage

Small manual or economy cars are easy to park and usually the lowest-cost option.

Automatic required

Choose the automatic transmission before requesting a quote. Small, compact and SUV automatic categories are available subject to fleet availability.

Family with luggage

A family/estate or SUV gives more usable luggage room than choosing only by seat count.

Seven people

A 7-seater may fit the passengers, but check luggage volume as well. Large bags can make a 9-seater more practical for airport transfers.

Eight or nine people

Choose the 9-seater category so passenger and luggage planning can be confirmed together.

Mountain and island touring

Comfort, transmission and luggage space matter more than choosing an SUV simply for the label. Off-road driving remains excluded.

Questions about vehicle choice

Is the cheapest car always the best choice?

No. A lower daily rate can be poor value if passengers or luggage do not fit comfortably. Choose the category around real space needs.

Does a 7-seater have space for seven large suitcases?

Do not assume it does. Seat capacity and luggage capacity are different. State the passenger and luggage needs in the request if the group is large.

Can I guarantee a specific make and model?

Vehicle examples are “or similar.” The confirmed category and transmission are the important reservation details unless a specific model is explicitly confirmed in writing.

Should I choose manual or automatic in Crete?

Choose the transmission you are comfortable driving. If automatic is required, request it explicitly because availability can be tighter than manual categories.

Does an SUV change the insurance rules?

No. The same exclusions for tires, wheels, underside, interior, off-road use and traffic-code violations still apply unless the written terms say otherwise.
